We suggest that you exit all programs prior to installing this software.
Installation of Loan*Calculator! Plus is very straight forward. Just follow the on screen instructions. There are only one or two things that you should be aware of before you start. The below is only important if you already have a copy of this program installed. (For new installs, skip down to Final Note...)
You can install over any previous installations of version 2.x. Your data files will be preserved. However, it is always a good practice to have a backup of all data files, particularly when doing an upgrade. If you already have a version of Loan*Calculator! Plus you should have CURRENT backups of the following files handy in the event of an error:
ACCNTS.DBF ACCNTS.NSX
LOANS.DBF LOANS.NSX
TRANS.DBF TRANS.NSX
XREF.DBF XREF.NSX
SYSINFO.DBF
These files are installed, by default, in the same directory (or folder) as the program files.
If you don't have a current backup, exit the installation program now, and make a set.
Final note...
In the event that this program does not meet your needs, we have done two things to make it easy for you to completely remove the program from your computer:
1) We have included an automatic uninstaller utility (for 16-bit installations only) that will remove this program from your computer. (32-Bit Windows REMOVE program will automatically remove this program and that is why there is not an uninstaller for 32-bit installations.)
2) Additionally, the file REMOVE.TXT documents all of the files that were added to your computer by this install program. Note, the install process will not modify any of your system files (with the exception of the registry, if you are installing under a 32-bit version of Windows). You can use the information in REMOVE.TXT to perform a manual uninstall, if you wish.
